Charlie is passionate about taking emotion-driven photographs of the world’s wild places and iconic species. His love for the natural world began at a young age memorizing the names of the world’s most charismatic creatures, and continued through a gap year spent counting orangutan nests in Borneo and eight months traveling in southern Africa. Much of his portfolio has a particular focus on the amazing continent of Africa where he’s been lucky enough to study, live for a time and spend many treasured days exploring.
Charlie Wemyss-Dunn’s passion for wildlife photography ignited during transformative time in the African bush, where he captured the raw beauty of nature. These treasured moments inspired him to dedicate his life to portraying the intricate stories of wildlife through his lens.
Charlie’s foundation, the PAW Foundation, is dedicated to wildlife conservation, supporting initiatives that protect endangered species and their habitats. Through Charlie’s photography, he raises awareness for these vital efforts.
